Winter Season
The CHL Winter Season begins each year in the third week of September and runs through to the end of March. The playoffs begin immediately following the regular season and last until the end of April. Following are some of the highlights from the Winter Season:
- one game per week
- 1 ½ hour ice slots (1 ¼ hours for Fleetwood and Women)
- many different skill levels
- two referees for every game
- scorekeepers provided for every game
- complete statistics provided
- all teams make the playoffs
- best of 3 playoffs (best of 5 – Finals)
- minimum 26 game season
- maximum 38 games
- three stop time periods
- All Star Game & Skills Competition
- register your team or as an individual

- all teams make the playoffs
- minimum 15 game season
- maximum 21 games
