Spring League 2010
Spring League registration is now open- all teams that have registered thus far have spots in the league, and there are still a few spots remaining.

Overtime Rule Reminders
With playoffs around the corner, we would like to take this opportunity to make a couple of reminders about easily confused rules:
- CHL Rules Section 7.2- Overtime penalties- any penalties assessed in OT are running time (3 minutes for minors- since OT is only 5 minutes long running time, if a player is assessed a double-minor or major penalty, these penalties result in the player missing the entire OT)
- CHL Rules Section 7.3- Penalty time remaining after regulation- if a penalty has time remaining on it at the end of regulation time and the game is going to OT, 50% of the remaining time on the penalty is added and the penalty is running time in OT. For example, if there is 1:00 remaining on a penalty at the end of regulation time, then when OT starts the penalty is 1:30 running time.
- CHL Rules Section 2.2- Shootout at the end of OT- in the playoffs, if the game is still tied at the end of the 5-minute OT period, a shootout will determine a winner. Five shooters from each team will shoot. If, after 5 shooters from each team have shot, the game is still tied, the shootout will be sudden death. Teams must utilize everyone on their game roster (unless a player is ejected, injured, or has penalty time remaining at the end of OT) before any player can repeat a shootout attempt. As mentioned above, any player who has penalty time remaining at the end of OT is ineligible to participate in the shootout.

Please remember that no smoking is permitted inside any part of the Richmond Ice Centre, including the dressing rooms. If a team is found to have been smoking inside the facility, it will face disciplinary action from the league and the facility.
